ACER Aptitude Tests
ACER mostly uses Watson Glaser style tests for its candidate selection. The sections on the assessments may include any of the following test sections, depending on the role that you applied to and also the country you are applying from:
- Verbal Reasoning Test: The verbal reasoning test assesses your ability to comprehend written concepts. These multiple-choice tests may include word lists where you must identify the word that doesn’t fit with the others, reasoning questions that ask you to determine which statements, when combined, prove or disprove a given question, and word association exercises.
- Abstract Reasoning Test: The abstract reasoning test, also known as an inductive reasoning exam, evaluates your aptitude for solving patterns and thinking logically when presented with non-written or non-numerical information. It serves as a measure of your problem-solving skills and often presents a series of shapes and patterns that you must complete.
- Quantitative Reasoning Test: The quantitative reasoning test is designed to gauge how effectively you process numerical information. It typically presents word problems that require you to deduce the equation needed to arrive at the correct answer.
- Mechanical Reasoning Test: The mechanical aptitude test is a multiple-choice assessment that assesses your understanding of moving parts and their interrelationships within a mechanical system.
- Interpersonal Understanding: Interpersonal understanding tests are personality assessments that evaluate your motivation, behavior in various situations, and ability to work with others. These tests provide insights into how well you collaborate and interact with colleagues and team members.
